The Libertas choir has released a video singing birthday wishes for Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu on the occasion of his 89th birthday today.

The choir’s message forms part of proceedings at the 10th Desmond Tutu International Peace Lecture to be held on his birthday on 7 October 2020 at 19h00.

The event will take place via a specially-designed online platform that allows for simultaneous commentary, and can be accessed here: https://events.tutu.org.za/events/2020/10/07/desmond-tutu-annual-peace-lecture

Members of the public are encouraged to add their voices to the likes of former US Vice President and climate activist Al Gore, African human and environmental rights activist Kumi Naidoo, who was until 2019 secretary-general of Amnesty International, Anglican Archbishop Thabo Makgoba, and Mary Robinson in sending birthday wishes to Archbishop Desmond Tutu!
