WATCH: Coach Rassie receives honorary doctorate from NWU

Legendary Springbok coach and former Director of SA Rugby, Rassie Erasmus, has received an Honorary Doctorate from the North-West University (NWU).

 

This is in recognition of his innovative and exceptional management of the Springboks during their victorious 2019 and 2023 Rugby World Cup campaigns, his significant standing in the international rugby coaching arena, his strong drive and focus on diversity and inclusion, and his commitment to social responsibility.

Erasmus, flanked by Springbok captain Siya Kolisi, and President of SA Rugby Mark Alexander arrived at NWU yesterday (Wednesday 1 May) to a heroes welcome.

 

The festivities kicked off with a vibrant welcome at the Fanie du Toit Sports Ground.
