The World Health Organization says it has issued guide-lines for countries around the World, to maintain essential services, including providing mental-health services to their citizens.

The Director-General of the WHO, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, yesterday addressed member-states during a virtual-meeting, requesting countries to also allocate resources to mental health, as an integral component of their covid-19 response and recovery plans.

Ghebreyesus says the guidelines were developed in close collaboration with health-care experts.
