The Western Cape Department of Transport says it implemented more than 240 road-blocks and vehicle check-points on the province’s roads this Easter weekend.

Spokesperson, Jandre Bakker says law-enforcement officers arrested 22 people over the long weekend, for disobeying the rules over the road.

Bakker says the Department also saw a notable decrease in road-accidents, in comparison with previous years… this year only recording 25 road-deaths over the long weekend.
