UPDATE: Missing 10-Year-Old Delft Boy found

Published on

The missing 10 year old Delft boy Reamohetse Lekgetha has been FOUND and he is safe at home!

Police and family members were desperately searching for the boy who had been missing for nearly a week.

He vanished on July 18, after leaving his home to visit friends in Voorbrug, a routine his family says is common during school holidays.

His mother told local media that Reamohetse had visited his grandmother earlier in the day and returned home briefly to drop off clothes she had bought for him. Around 4 pm, he told her he had been given R5 and went outside to play. By 6 pm, he had vanished.

Some children in the area reported that they saw him, while others claimed that at the time he ran in the direction of Wesbank, allegedly being chased and beaten by another boy.

Reamohetse has occasionally gone missing during past holidays.

“He used to disappear, but we would still see him around. People would spot him and let us know, even though he wouldn’t come home,” said his mother.

It’s unclear at this stage where Reamohetse spent his time over the past few days, but there is a huge sense of relief that he has been found.
