Umalusi approves 2021 NSC Exam Results for release

Published on

The Council for Quality Assurance in General and Further Education and Training – UMALUSI – has approved the release of the 2021 National Senior Certificate Exam results, after finding the exams largely credible.

Umalusi has however highlighted a few irregularities, including instances where learners had access to exam papers well ahead of time, and group copying.

Umalusi Council chairperson Prof. John Volmink says learners implicated should have their results held back, pending an investigation.

Umalusi has accepted 52% of the raw marks this year. 40% of the marks were adjusted upwards while 8% downwards. In 2020 74% of the marks were left unchanged.
