Two teenagers have been arrested for the murder of a retired teacher in Bredasdorp at the weekend. The educator was stabbed to death and robbed at his home in Jakaranda Avenue on Saturday.

Locals have identified the teacher to News24 as Sammy Cloete, a well-known retired teacher from the area. A Police spokesperson, Lieutenant-General Malcolm Pojie says two teenagers were taken into custody, a few hours after the murder.

A 16- and an 18-year-old were apparently spotted driving around in the vehicle of the deceased. They were detained shortly there-after.

Motive could be robbery

 

At this stage, police suspect that robbery could have been the motive for the attack.
