There’s a new (amphibious) duck in town and it’s based at the V & A Waterfront. According to its website, the brand-new amphibious Waterfront Duck gives you the best seat in the house as it blows every other tour you’ve ever had out of the water.

The owners say it will let you experience the highlights of Cape Town by bus and boat in the same vehicle and it promises to be an awesome adventure for the whole family.

The Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth, James Vos, attended the launch of the tour this week.

He says this is an exciting new addition to the Mother City’s tourism offerings.
‘The Waterfront Duck not only enhances Cape Town’s appeal for both locals and visitors but also aligns perfectly with our goals to drive tourism and economic growth.’

Brand-new amphibious Waterfront Duck
The Waterfront Duck is a 36-seater amphibious vehicle, model Seahorse MKIII. It is built by Seahorse Amphibious, based in Windsor, UK. Our first Waterfront Duck was completed and shipped to South Africa in 2024.
“This launch underscores our commitment to positioning Cape Town as a leading global destination, and we’re excited to see the positive impact it will have,” Vos concluded.
