The new road and rail bridge, linking the two countries, is set to help in easing congestion at border crossings through-out the southern African region.

Construction on the Kazungula bridge, which stretches for 923 metres over the Zambezi River, started in December of 2014.

Authorities say the bridge will also ease traffic on the heavily congested Beitbridge border-post between Zimbabwe and South Africa.
