The Western Cape IEC has asked residents to bring their own pens to polling stations to make their cross on ballot papers, at this year’s local government election.

Provincial electoral officer, Michael Hendrickse says they want to curb the spread of covid-19. He says the usual safety and social distancing measures, which were in place during the registration weekend, will also apply on the 1st of November.
