The Western Cape has reported more than 990 new covid-19 infections in the last 24-hour monitoring period. The overall infection-rate in the province now stands at more than 126,000 cases, with more than 114,000 that have already recovered. Currently, only 7,241 people still have active forms of the infection. To date, 4,573 people have died from covid-19 related complications.
