The Western Cape has recorded 2083 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, which brings the total number of active cases in the province to 27 944. The province has seen over 165 000 cases since it started tracking the pandemic. 5352 deaths have been reported in total. Over the last 7 days the Cape Town Metro has seen an 87% increase in new cases.
