The Western Cape has recorded 1,412 new covid-19 infections, over the past 24-hour monitoring period. To date, more than 133-thousand Western Cape residents have been infected with the virus, with more than 118-thousand people already recovering. The province’s recovery rate currently stands at more than 88%. More than 10,700 Western Cape-residents still have active forms of the virus.
