The Western Cape education department is pleading with Eskom to keep the lights on for the matric exams, and for protesters not to disrupt schooling while the pandemic class of 2021 writes their finals.

More than 10 000 pupils will complete their Computer Application Technology practical exam today, while 875 Information Technology pupils will do theirs tomorrow. Grade-12 learners start writing their final exams on the 27th.
