The Western Cape Department of Environmental Affairs says helicopters, belonging to the South African National Defence Force, are still on stand-by, to assist fire-fighters, should any flare-ups occur. Efforts to contain the run-away fire, that started early on Sunday morning, were yesterday hampered by a strong South-Easter, with helicopters grounded for safety reasons.
