The province’s Covid death-toll has now risen to 11 857.

In other parts of the country, Gauteng reported 41 deaths, while authorities in the Free State reported 21.

In the Northern Cape, 15 deaths were reported.

South Africa’s cumulative death toll has risen to 56 929, after 97 Covid-fatalities were reported across the country yesterday.
