The South African Revenue Service has announced the temporary closure of tax branches across the country, as from 1 July.

The Service says the move was prompted by the massive increase in Covid-19 infections seen across the country in recent days.

SARS encourages tax-payers to make use of its online-platforms for any tax-related queries and tax-filings.

Branches will be re-opened for physical visits on 16 August.
