The NPA is seeking a life sentence for 4 convicted murderers. The four were convicted yesterday of the premeditated murder of a 23-year-old disabled woman. Nomdundu Mafani was killed in the Southern Cape in 2022 in KwaNokhuthula.

 

The NPA is seeking a life sentence for 4 convicted murderers

 

The 23-year old Mafani was asleep when she was shot 15 times, which resulted in her death. She was in killed in April 2022.

 

The High Court sitting in Knysna

 

During the High Court sitting in Knysna yesterday, Mboneleli Msila, Mbulelo Jack, Monde Tshemese and Lungisile Lucas were convicted of conspiring to murder Mafani to get an insurance payout. The court found that the first accused and his wife had adopted Mafani when she was 11 years old. They had then taken out funeral policies for her and later planned to kill her.

 

Sentence will be handed down later today.
