The National Coronavirus Command Council is expected to mull over increasing numbers for church and religious gatherings over the Easter weekend. This comes, despite advice from the Ministerial Advisory Committee – made up of some of the country’s leading scientists – that the country should be moved to stricter restrictions. According to news24, the Council has been advised, by the Ministerial Advisory Committee, to put the country under an Alert Level 2 lockdown as a precaution for the Easter holidays. This would include a 10pm curfew, restricting alcohol sales again to Mondays to Thursdays and restricting the number of people attending gatherings to 50 only.
