The Independent Electoral Commission says up to 40 000 electronic voting devices will be deployed this weekend, to help voters register for the 1 November election.

Chief Electoral Officer, Sy Mamabolo says the IEC is ready for the voter registration weekend, which takes place tomorrow and Sunday. He says more than 48 000 officials have been trained to assist voters.
