The IEC says it’s ready for the voter’s registration weekend on 18 & 19 Sep

The Electoral Commission says it is ready for this coming weekend’s registration of voters.

Chief electoral officer Sy Mamabolo said all polling stations in all the country’s municipal wards are ready for the expected influx of people, who want to register.

Mamabolo says about 40,000 digital vote-recording devices will also be used to accommodate the large number of voters.
