The Health Department says it is concerned about teachers returning to schools today but also issued a warning to teachers, not to stay away from work out of fear of the new covid-19 variant. According to Netwerk 24, the department says it thinks schools are the safest place for teachers, during the second wave of covid-19. Departmental spokesman Elijah Mhlanga says so far, more teachers have picked up the virus and died because they attended funerals.
