This is the second consecutive day that more than 2 000 new infections have been confirmed. The country last saw more than 2 000 cases in February. Experts however still believe, it’s too early to talk about a third wave, although there are increases, in a number of inland provinces. The dean of public health and nursing at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, prof. Mosa Moshabela is particularly concerned about the situation in the Free State, North West and Northern Cape.
