The flower season at Namaqua National Park is in full swing, and once again, the landscape does not disappoint. A wide variety of colours spread across the terrain as thousands of wildflowers emerge following a season of excellent rainfall.

For those wanting to see the smaller, rarer blooms, the hiking trails remain a recommended way to experience nature up close. SANParks Head of Communications & Spokesperson, JP Louw, says the 5 km circular trail at Skilpad in Namaqua National Park is currently a highlight. He says the fields are in full bloom and offer a peaceful, accessible way to explore the veld’s diversity.
