The fire raging on Table Mountain has largely been contained with no immediate threat to properties and people. While the winds are still high, firefighters have extinguished a handful of hotspots on the mountain. The fire destroyed parts of the University of Cape Town and the Rhodes Memorial Restaurant when it broke out yesterday morning. A 35-year-old man has since been arrested.
