Published on

The DHL Stormers are kicking off a new era in Cape Town rugby this Friday, 26 September, when they face defending United Rugby Championship (URC) champions Leinster at DHL Stadium. With a rebranded identity, fresh logo, and a kit that pays tribute to the team’s history, fans can expect an electrifying night of rugby.

Everything You Need to Know About the DHL Stormers Season Opener

The URC season opener is scheduled for a 19:00 kick-off, with stadium gates opening at 17:00. Supporters are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the build-up and avoid traffic congestion.

“Let’s pack DHL Stadium and usher in a new era for the Stormers.”

Kick-Off Time and Stadium Gates

Parking inside the Green Point Precinct is limited, so the City is advising fans to park in Cape Town’s CBD. They can also make use of the free MyCiTi shuttle service. The shuttle will operate exclusively for ticket holders, running from the CTICC, Civic Centre, and Thibault Square stations to the stadium from 16:30. The last return bus will leave DHL Stadium at 23:00.
