The Department of Health says it is currently finalizing all vaccination numbers and will only start announcing – later today – how many people have already been vaccinated against Covid-19.

Phase 2 of the country’s vaccination-campaign kicked off yesterday morning with vaccinations focusing on people over 60 years of age.

Yesterday, healthcare workers were also deployed to nursing homes to vaccinate elderly residents.

Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize says vaccinations went “fairly well” yesterday.
