The department of health says 3 084 new cases of the coronavirus have been reported in the country, in the past 24 hours.

Another 102 people have died, taking the death toll to 55 976. At the moment, there are an estimated 41 005 active Covid-19 cases in South Africa. The total number of vaccines administered is 700 904.
