The department of health says 1 569 new cases of the corona-virus have been reported in the country, over the latest 24-hour monitoring period. At the same time, 53 additional covid-19-related deaths were recorded taking the death toll to 53 940. So far more than 1.4-million people have recovered which is a recovery rate of 95%.
