The Department of Basic Education has indicated that it is sticking with its decision, to allow covid-19 positive Grade 12 to write their end-of-year examinations. The Department this morning issued an updated directive, saying that guardians of covid-19 positive learners have to inform the learner’s school of the positive status of the candidate. This is to ensure that the necessary arrangements could be made, for the learner to write his or her exam in isolation.
