The Covid-19 variant that was first identified in the United Kingdom in December last year has been found in South Africa. That’s been confirmed by Professor Tulio de Oliveira – the director of the genomics surveillance lab in KwaZulu-Natal. According to The New York Times, this variant has already been detected in more than 50 countries.
