It’s a back to school week with Cape Town waking up to the fun of Smile Breakfast. We started with Mandela Day. This month we partnered with The Nelson Mandela Foundation and Futurelife to make a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable children across the country. This month we have the goal of providing a million meals to those in need, as part of a bigger initiative to provide 5 million meals and build an early childhood development center:

Bobby had a confession about missing the show on Monday. He had a pretty nasty D.I.Y incident that landed him in hospital. So to feel better about both his bruised arm and ego, he asked Cape Town about their most embarrassing injuries:

Lindy couldn’t get over a South African TikTok creator who went viral with a video about the cost of groceries. It wasn’t the amount of money she spent, but rather the way she pronounced “muesli” that has South Africa in stitches:

We also needed to make things right for one of our listeners who made the mistake of forgetting about his own daughter when he chose the people to take to the rugby over the weekend. It caused quite a domestic dispute and thanks to our friends at SA Rugby we were able to sort things out:
