Taylor Swift shatters countless records with ‘The Tortured Poets Department’

Taylor Swift’s 11th full-length studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, shattered countless records during its first week of release.

 

‘The Tortured Poets Department’ debuted at #1 around the World, including UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Ireland, Italy, Sweden, Norway, Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, Switzerland, New Zealand.

 

It also broke the record for the Highest First Week of US Streams for any album in history.

  • ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ earned the biggest US sales week of Taylor Swift’s career, surpassing ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’
  • Biggest vinyl sales week for any album in Nielsen era

Taylor Swift now matches Madonna as the female artist to have 12 #1 albums in the UK.

In Canada, this is Taylor Swift’s 14th consecutive #1 album. She trails only The Beatles for most #1 albums of all-time in this country.
