Talks are under way with Johnson & Johnson about running a booster Covid-19 vaccine-study in South Africa.

The company’s Covid-19 vaccine was used in the Sisonke study which saw almost half-a-million health-care workers vaccinated.

Bloomberg reports the scientific-evaluation could possibly start in October.

The Medical Research Council said they would like the study to commence before the next wave of infections hits South Africa.
