South Africa will see a major boost in its economic confidence, while international investors will also look at the country as a more favourable investment destination.

This, according to President Cyril Ramaphosa, who yesterday announced, that changes would be made to the Electricity Regulation Act, to allow independent energy producers to generate much more than the previous threshold of 50MW of power. Ramaphosa says, following the amendments, South African businesses would be allowed to generate up to 100MW of electricity.
