South Africa has reported 5 360 new cases of the coronavirus, over the latest monitoring period.

Another 54 people have died with the death toll now on 56 765. At the moment, there are more than 55 000 active Covid-19 cases in South Africa. The recovery rate is 93.3%.
On the inoculation front, the total number of people vaccinated stands at over 1.193-million, with more than 66 000 vaccines administered in the last 24 hours. The Pfizer vaccine doses administered under Phase Two of the national vaccination rollout stand on over 637 000.
