SA’s Covid-19 death toll increases to 74,623

The National Health Department says the country’s Covid-19 death toll has now risen to 74,623 after another 271 fatalities were reported countrywide yesterday.

The country has, to date, reported more than 2.5 million cases of the virus, with more than 12-thousand new infections that were confirmed yesterday.

The country’s overall recovery rate now stands at 90.8%, after more than 2.29 million people have already recovered from the virus.
