SARB: The interest rate remains unchanged at 7%

The South African Reserve Bank has announced that the repo rate will remain unchanged at 3.5%.

This means that the prime interest rate remains unchanged at 7%.

The Reserve Bank however warned that consumers can expect up to see up to 9 increases in the repo and interest rate, until the end of 2023.

The first increase is expected in November this year with increases to be announced in every quarter of both 2022 and 2023.
