South Africa’s soccer queens will be returning to the country this morning at OR Tambo International Airport. In a series of tweets, the team shared their excitement to return with the trophy, gold medals and without tasting defeat in the tournament. The 2-1 victory over Morocco is greatly welcomed after Banyana Banyana previously placed as runners-up 5 times in the Women’s Afcon finals. Banyana Banyana were also named as the women’s National Team of the Year.
