The Minister of Trade and Industry, Ebrahim Patel says Government has launched a series of industry master-plans, to improve local product competitiveness.

Patel participated in the 9th annual Proudly South African Buy Local Summit & Expo yesterday and says the initiatives would help boost the country’s trade volumes to especially its regional neighbours, via the African Continental Free Trade Area agreement.

Patel says achieving these increased trade-volumes would however require greater collaboration between Government and the private sector.
