RULES AND DATES FOR OTHER GRADES TO RETURN TO SCHOOL

The Department of Education has published guidelines as learners in Grades 7 and 12 prepare to return to school on 1 June.

According to the guidelines gazetted, there will be strict screening for Covid-19 at schools, and parents and guardians would have to arrange transport for their child, if he or she is found to have one of the symptoms during the screening.

Parents who don’t want their child to return, must apply for an exemption and home schooling.

ECD children, and learners in Grade R; 3; 6; 10; 11 may return on 6 July.
