Rooibos industry receives certificate recognizing its registration for Protection Designation of Origin in the EU

Premier Alan Winde says he expects the industry to now be further strengthened, with exports of this proudly-South African product that will also be significantly boosted.

Winde says Rooibos is now the first African product to receive PDO status from the EU.

He says the certification holds many benefits for the local Rooibos industry.
