In 2008 Bryan Adams told Rolling Sone magazine that the song Summer of ’69 was originally meant to be called Best Days of My Life. But then, Adams ad-libbed that little “me and my baby” bit, and it stuck. “I’d done that as a joke, really,” he told Rolling Stone. “And then we thought it was catchy.”

Bonnie Tyler

Bonnie Tyler’s famously gravelly voice came about after she underwent surgery to remove nodules on her vocal cords in 1977.  Her new-found throatiness, however, turned out to be a blessing in disguise as her next single, It’s A Heartache – featuring husky Bonnie – was her biggest hit yet.

Goo Goo dolls

The original name for the Goo Goo Dolls was The Sex Maggots. They changed it when a promoter refused to book them until they got rid of it. They got the name “Goo Goo Dolls” from an ad in True Detective magazine. Of the band’s name, Johnny Rezenik said, “We had a gig that night and needed a name. It’s the best we came up with, and for some reason it stuck. If I had five more minutes, I definitely would have picked a better name.”
