Road closures for the State of the Nation Address

Published on

Traffic flow is being greatly impacted in the CBD this week, as the Mining Indaba gets underway and preparations for the State of the Nation Address (SONA) commence.

The indaba, which started on Monday and ends on Thursday 8 February will see delays on roads surrounding the CTICC – such as FW De Klerk Blvd and Heerengracht St.

SONA will be taking place at the Cape Town City Hall on Thursday, with rehearsals taking place every day until then.

Traffic flow along Darling, Corporation, Longmarket and Parade St., among others, will be impacted.

Motorists have been asked to acquaint themselves with the closures and to plan their routes accordingly:

A list of road closures can be accessed HERE.

Motorists should also note that there will be restricted parking in some areas.
