President Cyril Ramaphosa says there must be urgent and decisive action to tackle loadshedding.

Ramaphosa on Wednesday officiated the opening of the first Black Industrialists and Exporters Conference at the Sandton International Convention Centre in Johannesburg.

He says he has already instructed the relevant departments and entities to put together measures to add additional capacity to the country’s power network, as soon as possible.

Ramaphosa says a complete reform of the energy landscape is needed to help businesses do business, without worrying about loadshedding negatively affecting their profit margins.
