President Cyril Ramaphosa says the new cancer and Covid-19 vaccine initiative, launched last week, will be a game-changer in South Africa’s fight against Covid-19.
Ramaphosa says the NantAfrica initiative, spearheaded by Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, will see the establishment of state-of-the-art vaccine production facilities in the country.
The initiative will also see the launch of the Centre for Epidemic Response and Innovation which will enhance rapid genomic surveillance of and response to viral mutations.
