Even though the Covid-19 pandemic brought with it a range of challenges, it also presented the African-continent with many opportunities to become a leader or trendsetter in addressing the challenges faced by its healthcare systems.
This, according to President Cyril Ramaphosa, who addressed African Union leaders during an online meeting yesterday.
He says the Aspen-Pharmacare facility in the Eastern Cape, is an example of how rapid change can be brought about, and innovation used, to fight pandemics.
