India is in charge after 50-overs of play at Boland Park. The heat is tremendous and it seemed to affect the Proteas more than expected.
The Indian batters didn’t make it easy on the South Africans. The visitors comfortably knocked the bowlers around. However, the Proteas will rue their inability to not capitalize when the match was flowing in their direction.
The fielding was more shocking. No less than four catches were put down and a relegation run-out opportunity was missed. A true comedy of errors.
Quinton de Kock and Janneman Malan now have a huge job to do up front. 268 is a long way off on this slow Paarl pitch.
India – 287 – 6 (50)

Kl Rahul – 55 (79)
