Late Minister in the Presidency Jackson Mthembu will be honoured with an Official Funeral Category 1 at his home in Mpumalanga, on Sunday (24 Jan). The national flag will be flown at half-mast at every flag station in the country from tomorrow morning (Sat 25 Jan), until the evening of the day of the funeral.

The minister of health, dr Zweli Mkhize says 8 147 new coronavirus cases have been identified in the country in the latest monitoring period, taking total infections to more than 1,4-million. Another 300 people have died, with the national death toll now on 40 874. The recovery rate in the country stands at 87%.
