Ramaphosa says a decision on the ban will be made “within days”.

He says health authorities here are extremely concerned about the Indian variant of Covid-19, which is currently engulfing that entire country.

According to Ramaphosa, South Africa will, out of solidarity with India offer assistance in the form of ventilators and personal protective equipment.
